Brody's Scuderia: A Ferrari Inspired Birthday Party
Anyone have kids that love fast cars?!! My boys are obsessed with sports cars. They have even picked out their future first cars... a BMW i8 and Red Mustang. Yes, we can all dream, can't we?
I wasn't surprised when my nephew requested a Ferrari theme for his 9th birthday party. I knew there would not be a lot of party supplies available for this very specific car/theme. I had to get a little creative. Luckily I found the cutest Ferrari printable collection on Etsy by Art Paper Party. This really saved the day along with a custom Ferrari inspired banner by Piggy Bank Parties (keep reading to see what the banner means in Italian).
An awesome welcome sign in the Ferrari font for the birthday boy.
I kept desserts simple and fun. Chocolate covered "donut tires" and mini gold trophies filled with mini "steering wheel" Oreos.
Who doesn't love party blowers? Well, parents... but kids love 'em.
I customized the blowers with the small party circles from Art Paper Party's Ferrari collection. Hint, permanent glue dots are the perfect crafting material for adhering the circles to the blowers.
I added checkered flag accents throughout the party with favor boxes, flags, and banners.
Close up details of the FABULOUS banner Piggy Bank Parties made for the party using the Ferrari font and colors. Notice the Italian flag rounded pennant with a personalized "B" Ferrari inspired shield! The birthday boy LOVED this extra special detail. The entire banner is now hanging in his bedroom. Gotta love party decorations that can be saved and re-used!
Fun little fact, notice the S F on the Ferrari badge (underneath the horse's legs), that stands for Scuderia Ferrari, the race car team founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929. Scuderia in Italian means a stable reserve for race horses, but more commonly now refers to Italian motor racing teams. That is how we came up with Brody's Scuderia for the banner.
Last but not least, we can't forget the party favors. Each party guest left with a fun box of goodies that included a race car pen, lollipop, tire yo-yo, checkered flag bandanna, gold trophy, and toy car.
A huge thank you to my party vendors:
