New Year, New Room with Wayfair

Given the chance to refresh a room in your house, which space would you choose? Hands down I would go right to the central hub of our house, the dining room. We use this space for homework, crafting, eating, and entertaining. Inspired by the beautiful products offered by Wayfair, this is how I would refresh my dining room for the new year. It has a little bit of everything, a tee pee for the kids to play in, toy and art storage (that doubles as an adorable storage cart!), a new dramatic chandelier, trays, dishes, and furniture. Modern Rose 90th Birthday Party
The Modern Rose collection is one of my very favorites. It is elegant, timeless, and full of gorgeous colors. The party items offered in this collection can easily be personalized to fit all types of special events, from birthdays, to weddings and anniversaries. I chose to use the collection for a very special milestone, a 90th birthday. The guest of honor, my 90 year old grandmother, has the most beautiful china pattern called Desert Rose. I immediately thought of her love of roses and her beloved dishes when I stumbled upon the Modern Rose collection. As you will see, I incorporated personal touches of her favorite things throughout the party such as her love of Nantucket and the ocean, knitting, and traveling. The table outside was set with my Nantucket Basket Wedgwood china, rose topiaries , and tropical green leaves . I attached gold mylar number balloons to the back of the guest of honor's chair.
